The Universal cheeks are a very popular rider choice for faster work as they offer extra control and enhanced turning. 

There are 4 rein options, including using the Curb Strap and Pelham Roundings. This means the NS Verbindend Universal is also highly recommended for flat work/training in order to lighten the forehand, thus developing throughness and establishing self carriage.
