Which Horses Benefit?

• All horses resting or working in normal conditions and weather regions in Southern Australia, such as NSW, Victoria, SA, WA, and Tasmania which have moderate temperatures and humidity
• Horses which sweat normally in response to exercise, especially during short to medium training periods under 1 hour per day. 
• Flexible dose rates ensure electrolyte replacement for horses at rest and at all levels of training, from light work to intense work
• For electrolyte replacement in horses during Spring and Summer (ie warm weather but low to medium humidity).
• Although most horse owners choose to feed just plain salt during winter, Cell-Salts is still a better choice due to the low reactivity of the salt mix and the taste, which is highly palatable and encourages acceptance in horses without sift out.

Major Ingredients:

Cell-Salts contains essential salts, including sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride, as a concentrated, feed-based electrolyte supplement. 

Cell-Salts contains glucose to assist sweat replenishment in normal or variable weather conditions. The low level of glucose in the supplement will not increase the risk of laminitis in sugar-sensitive horses. It is equivalent in sugar to just a few mouthfuls of grass.

Cell-Salts is specially coated to ensure optimum palatability and reduced salt reactivity, preserving fragile vitamins in the feed and eliminating the risk of digestive upset commonly caused by paste or liquid salt solutions

Cell-Salts is vanilla flavoured and a sticky, low dust powder for optimum palatability and reduced wastage in the feedbin. 

Cell-Salts does not swab or contain banned substances and does not contravene the Rules of Racing or FEI Competition. This product is a nutritional supplement to support the health and well-being of a horse. It does not artificially enhance the performance of racing or competition horses. Rules prohibiting the use of any pre-race supplements within 24 hours of racing should be followed if applicable in the local jurisdiction.

Supplementation Guidelines:

Each level scoopful provides 25 g of Cell-Salts. Mix the measured amount into the daily feed.  It is recommended to provide Cell-Salts after extended exercise to encourage rehydration.  Always ensure that adequate clean & fresh drinking water is available at all times. 

For horses at rest, feed 25 g daily. 

For horses in light work (up to 30-60 minutes walking, trotting, light cantering), feed 37.5 grams daily.

For horses in moderate work (30-120 minutes walking, trotting, cantering and some galloping) feed 50 grams daily, recommended to split between morning and night feeds. 

For heavily or intensely worked horses (15-30 minutes fast trotting, cantering, galloping, jumping, horses in full race training), feed up to 75 grams daily, split between morning and evening feeds.      

For ponies and miniatures, feed half the above amounts.
